To encourage people to stay fit during the lock down , Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared a video of a yoga posture in which he is seen practicing. “Whenever I get time, I practice yoga sleep once or twice a week,” he wrote on Twitter. Yoga sleep is known to relieve stress.
He wrote, “It does overall well-being, calms the mind, reduces stress and anxiety.” According to the details available on various websites, Yoga Nidra helps in relieving stress. Replying to a question during “Man Ki Baat” on Sunday about how he is keeping fit during the lock down, he said in Man Ki Baat that he will post the video.
“But remember, I am not a fitness expert, I am not even a yoga teacher. I am only a practitioner,” he had said. A nationwide 21-day lock down was implemented on March 24 to investigate the spread of corona virus as social balance is possibly the only way to prevent people from infecting the deadly virus.
