Home Minister Amit Shah implemented the domicile law of Kashmir

Eight months later, Jammu and Kashmir is being given special status by the Centre, the government has redefined the domicile rules for the Union Territory and ordered that only those who meet this criteria are junior posts in the bureaucracy and constabulary. But are eligible to be appointed.

The recruitment law is designed to remove the new domicile conditions that will bring a demographic change in the state of the union territory for Jammu and Kashmir as people from any part of the country can apply for jobs and Jammu and Kashmir I can also settle down.

The domicile rule will apply for recruitment to all the posts coming with a basic salary of Rs 25,500.
Before Article 370 was abolished in Parliament, only those considered permanent residents of the erstwhile state could get a job in the state government. When a delegation of Kashmiri politicians met Home Minister Amit Shah last month, he assured them that the Centre did not intend to make demographic changes in the Union Territory.
