Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu, on Sunday, launched a sanitisation drive through drones from Jagatpura town in the presence of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Girish Dayalan.
After Jagatpura, the drive was further carried out in Green Enclave in Badmajra, Jujhar Nagar, and Balongi. It will soon be carried in the whole state. The drone have been given by Garuda Aerospace.
Sidhu said that the drone have a capacity of 10 liters, can fly at a tallness of 15 meters, and can cover a distance across of 20 ft (6.1 m) in one go. It can sanitise a region of 6 acres of land in a 10 minutes.
The minister said that the state government is all attempts to battle the coronavirus infection and included that Technology can have a significant impact in it.
