Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra minister of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, Abdul Sattar on Wednesday said that he has tested positive for the coronavirus infection.

The Aurangabad MLA from Sillod constituency put out a Facebook post announcing the same, and said that he is currently under quarantined at home in Mumbai. Sattar also requested everyone who came in contact with him to get themselves tested.

He also wrote to his followers on Twitter. “There was a little doubt, therefore, went for a COVID-19 test today. Unfortunately, the report has come positive. However, there is no need to worry. I might have contracted the virus while being engaged in pandemic relief work,” he tweeted in Marathi.
