CM Amarinder’s son Raninder Singh summoned by ED in Forex case.

Official sources informed IANS that Raninder has been summoned by the ED at its Jalandhar office on 27 October

The Enforcement Directorate summoned Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh’s son Raninder Singh for violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act in connection with an alleged irreconcilable assets case. The ED asked him to appear before them on October 27, in Jalandhar, Punjab.

Official sources informed IANS that Raninder has been summoned by the ED at its Jalandhar office on 27 October to explain the alleged movement of funds to Switzerland and creation of a trust in the tax haven of British Virgin Islands.

With the Amarinder Singh-led government bringing state Bills earlier this week to negate the Central farm laws to pacify the agitating farmers in the state, the move to summon his son opine significant political importance.
